How to verify your ID with Verify 365

Your lawyer will select which verification checks you need to complete. Once they have been selected they will send you a link by SMS and email.

2. Download The App

You will receive a link by SMS to download our app to your smartphone. The app can be downloaded on Google Play & App Store.

3. ID Verification Check

It’s incredibly easy to verify your identity using our app. Scan your ID document and then take a selfie. Our technology will verify that your document matches your picture.

4. Address Verification

Verify your address automatically. Enter your full UK address and we will verify that it matches our system data. If you’re outside the UK or you have recently moved address – upload a document with your address such as a utility bill.

5. Open Banking Digital Statements

If your lawyer has requested for your financial information, you have the option to provide these seamlessly through Open banking. You will need to select your bank and give permissions to retrieve your statements.

6. Source of Funds

If you are a purchaser, your solicitor will request a source of funds questionnaire to be completed. This is to help you prove where your funds for the purchase come from. You can upload documents to support your source of funds.

7. Payment Requests

Your lawyer may request a digital payment from you for legal fees or other disbursement costs, as a secure and easy way for you to quickly pay using your credit or debit card. Simply add in your details and complete the payment.

8. Documents eSignature Request

Your lawyer may request you to sign a Terms of Business or Client Care Letter to finalise the onboarding process. You will receive via email a link to open the document. Once you are happy to sign, simply enter your e-signature and send your signed document back to your lawyer.

How can I verify my ID using Verify 365?

Verify 365 is an identity verification and client onboarding system used by
solicitors to verify client identity, address, and financial information.

Through our client app, you can electronically complete due diligence, protecting you from identity fraud and also removing the inconvenience of sending your documents or attending an office.

Why have I been asked to download Verify 365?

You have been asked to share this information using Verify 365 as it is a legal requirement for solicitors to undertake client due diligence. This prevents identity fraud and money laundering.

What ID documents are accepted electronically?

Verify 365 can verify over 10,000 Government issued IDs worldwide including:

Passport
Driving license
Government-issued national ID
Residence permit

What do I need to be able to complete verification?

You will need your ID document

A government issued ID that can be scanned using our ID verification software. You may need to upload a proof of address such as a utility bill.

You will need a smartphone, iPad, or Tablet

If you don’t own one of these devices, you can use a family or friend’s device. You will require either a passport, driving license, residence permit, or National ID to verify your ID.

You will need to download the Verify 365 app

Download our app: When your lawyer “invites” you, you will receive a
text message and email with a link to download our app. After
downloading our app, you’ll enter your mobile number, and then you
will receive a six-digit code (OTP) which will sign you in.

Does Verify 365 store or share my information?

No, we do not store or share your information. We keep your data for a short moment to create our verification report for your solicitor and once completed, we delete it. We do not have access to your verification report.

We are certified by the UK government cyber security accreditation scheme, Cyber essentials Plus, who conduct an annual audit on our systems and processes. Our system is compliant with CCPA, GDPR, SOC2 type II, ISO 27001 and WCAG Accessibility Guidelines.
